Here we are then guys. This is the journey to my quick Vectra lol. This is the 2.0 16v Calibra Turbo engine for the Vectra that i bought. Well the new engine is in and just waiting for 1 part which should be here tomorrow. The engine went in no problem and turns over with ease. We just need to sort the coil as the older engine hasn't got electronic ingnition. So here's our journey to the stage I am at, at the mo First things first, ROAD TRIP!!! Couple of shots of the new engine So then it was out with the old... Which left the poor Vectra without it's "Hamster in-a Wheel Power" lol

Hi fellow Caddy owners, We have just picked up our new caddy that will be used out on the road for mobile remapping and as a general works van. (Might even use it weekends it's that nice) 15,000 Miles on the clock and is like new inside and out, and she is DSG :blink1: Here's a few pics, let us know what you think.
Have been a member since last year but have only now gotten the car looking half way decent to posting on this site http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/14.jpg http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/7.jpg http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/3.jpg
As requested some more pics of the beastie, I've got some more somewhere but annoyingly I can't find them! Here's what I can find... Some pics http://s312.photobucket.com/albums/ll326/piscisvisio/Jims%20Smart/ & some videos... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trL_lqHelEE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eTP9dkzypo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VzQKBkYO9I&feature=related Enjoy, Loz.
Saw this very straight 70's Oldsmobile Cutlass (I think ) in my local carpark, the naff phone pics don't do the car justice. The matt black paint works really well with the chrome & the 442 decals on the flanks & rear. The Pseudo rivets aren't quite my cup of tea but then if we liked the same thing it would get very boring very quick! Aside from that the car looked just great!
Here's the Volvo. It's my first car (I'm 30 now, had it for 3 years, late starter!) Modding it started off as just a Remap to perk it up a bit and grew from there... Runs 228bhp at the wheels 5000-6000, and 275lb-ft Torque at the wheels at 2500rpm on 97Ron 1/4 mile at 100mph terminal dead - There are quicker cars around, but you really have to experience the flexibility and mid-range of a tuned T5 to believe it. It's a torquey quick car out on the road during in real world conditions. Timed at 30-70=5.4, 50-70=3.0 - IPD Rear RollBar - Eibach Springs - Geometry Kit - Bell FMIC - BSR Downpipe, sports cat and SS exhaust - BRS Stage 3 remap - K & N Air Intake - Vibra Technics Gearbox Mount - Braided Brake Lines with...
Thanks to my mother and wifes big mouths i got asked to go over my mums bosses car. No full pics of the car at the start but it didnt look to bad and had a decent shine to it. yeah me thinks  Car was hosed down then 2 bucket cleaned Car felt pretty clean and smooth. as i had a little bit of clay handy i rub it over the bonnet. came back very dirty. so the whole car was treated with Megs clay using quick detailer as a lube Nice and Clean Drivers door alone The car was washed again quickly then towel dried Then onto inspection - only took pics of the bonnet as the sun was nice and bright So on with the polishing Megs #83 on a LC green pad - Heavy polishing - and set to...
Had a little play with one of the shots of the Calibra today to see what colour wheels are going to look best and i'm seriously not too sure as they both look really good. The wheels I want are from a Vectra GSi pre-facelift (Mk1 Vectar GSi) So first off heres the original shot:- And here are the 2 possible colour ways:- White. Satin Black with laquor over the top. What do you reckon I should go for then peeps?
Hi All, We have another little project on the go at the moment.. The current Stagea, which we have had a couple of years is near end of life unfortunately. She has been a fighter, been on a few track days. The Chassis is now too rusty. Sooooo, we have a new one :) We'll transfer the performance parts over, and currently looking at a crazy printed wrap for the car too The 2 together.. MOT Time The new Stagea is a fresh import and a very clean 125,000 kilometres example. Has service stickers over it, and all history from Japan. Zero Rust. Its the Turbo 2.5 litre 24 Valve 6 Cylinder Engine out of the Nissan SKyline R33 GTS-t, and a 4wd System Similar to the R33 GTR Nissan Skyline. Should hopefully be a fun Project over the...
Hey All. Finally making the jump over to the Audi side, with this 2006 37'000 mile Audi RS4 (B7) Saloon. Having had the W8 for yonks, the dim-witted Haldex system on the R36 irritated me from day one. The more I drive it, the more it annoys me. Also, while the R36 is quick, I fancy even more POWER! Problem is, I keep the W8 too and have to tax/insure/maintain it to quench my thirst for a big noisy 8 cylinder engine. The R36's VR6 is somewhat mute and just drones with anything but a stock exhaust on it. The RS4 has more power, has the torsen permanent 4wd I like (rear bias on the Audi actually, as opposed to 50/50 on the W8) and produces an epic exhaust note. It's both cars in one - plus some  .. and naturally I...
Met one of your guys today at BHP performance show, although I've forgotten your name, sorry. A bit about me I'm 21 and from London and drive a Satin Black Renault Megane, any questions feel free to ask Start of witha practice spray - a wing is good. Build up the paint in layers. I used about 15 spray tins of paint in the end I belive When it comes to removing the bumper it would depend on the car, I discovered that after removing all of mine, I didnt need to but for some cars, you would need to, I removed the bumpers, the bonnet and the front two wings, and then masked up everything else, when I done the car I didn't need to do any paint prep as the paintwork was only 3 years old, so I knew it was in perfect...
Hi guys! My name is Nick. I've been into hot rods and custom cars since I was a kid. For over 10 years, I've been learning the art of metal shaping starting out with a set of about 9 hammers, some dollies, and a 3/4" rubber mat and things have kinda evolved from there. I'd like to extend my hand in appreciation to all the members who have the same passion for cool cars and enjoy taking the time to share their knowledge and experiences. I was hoping to share a completed project built entirely from scratch out of steel that both my dad and I are quite passionate about. This got me hooked on fabricating. I'll post one photo, if you guys feel it's "too out there"...it'll be removed. Thanks very much!
New to the forum. Not done a huge amount of custom work yet but some of what I have done took me a long time (doube din facia - they don't exsist on 75/ZTs). Facia still needs a bit of work and inline filter yet to be complete. Fitted new dash and steering wheel although I have no photos of hat yet.
Hey All. I know its not a photo gallery, but good enough: A video of my RS6 chasing down my mates 2013 track-pack GTR on our way to the Nurburgring a few months back. I didn't expect them to be so close to be honest given the TP GTR is 550bhp and lighter than a stock GTR given the carbon front end and absence of the rear seat bench!
Hi some of you may know i owned a very Nice GTI-R.. But i got a offer on it that i just could not turn down,, and now its a toy in a collection.. http://www.torquecars.com/forums/f47/pulsar-gti-r-6906/ So with a good friend selling him nice Evo 6 i just have to have it as my next project... spec and running very close to 400bhp Icelles Blue Aftermarket front bumper Aftermarket rear lights Carbon sharkfins on the roof carbon clock surround RallyArt mudflaps Lowered on Tein Springs 18 inch white Rota's New discs and pads all round Front and rear strut braces Engine Skunk 2 cams 3mm lash adjusters Synapse recirc dumpvalve Blitz Nur spec frontpipe and exhaust with cat bypass pipe Blitz sonic air filter Greddy Frontmount kit with...
Took the beasty a little ride out this morning to see if i could clear her lungs a bit after the ecu hadn't been connected for a while hehe (or never since the turbo went in lol). Well i set off with it running the same as it was but marginally better with not much boost but better revving. Then just after i started to record this vid she let loose, free'd everything up and shot into over boost like there was no tomorrow lmao. You will see when i floor it in 2nd what happens next, put it this way, she was spinning in 5th gear  Ok, please forgive the un-steadyness as i had to tape the phone to my hand so I could drive safely ;) Here goes:-...
O'right all. Had a little meet on the 11th of November with a load of mates, who mostly own Jap cars for a fast run of Snake's Pass and a hearty pub meal. Good enough range of car to hopefully give the recently quiet forum some discussion points!!! Pics collated from different sources so don't hate. I will say the low sun and lighting made it very difficult to take pictures :beer:
Just been out in this badboy about an hour ago and honestly I still haven't stopped grinning. THIS. IS. UNREAL. A mates but his uncle built it and sold it straight to him. From what I can remember... Full ST170 Conversion R6 Bike Carbs Omex ECU RS200 Close-ratio 4-speed box (110mph max! But my god is it frantic through the gears) G-max shocks and springs (cheap crap, too soft, need changing) Front strut brace Mini-lite alloys Heaters removed 216bhp and I forget the torque. Weight about 880kgs IIRC. And now the bit you've all been waiting for.... Still badged as a 1.6 ghia  The sounds is just unbelievable and it's bloody quick, no traction whatsoever in first or second just spins up one rear wheel LSD is on...
not pretty, but did a job all the same :blink1: Mini of course! Everyone has to play with one of these! Chevette-started life with a 1.9 Manta engine, then that expired and in went a Rover V8, semi-space framed front end. A case of tail wagging the dog with this! Audi GT 2.4i I also had a 1340 Mini, no pictures, that ran a Longman engine, rallycross spec, 48 Weber, Jack Knight straight cut box and a Quaife slipper. I also designed and fabricated my own coilover rear beam axle. Redundancy put paid to that beauty.
Alrite lads so this is the car I am all set to buy its just round the corner from me I have test driven it and got to say its brilliant. Shame its FWD for a scooby was hoping for AWD but I will happily settle so I can brag I have a Scooby! :D for £400 you can't go wrong mechanically brilliant to be on the safe side I am replacing a few bits and changing the Oil and I have to patch up a dink on the rear bumper!
Hi guys. Well thought I'd get a bit of thread together rather than me keep updating my Hello thread. Well as some of you know, I have a lovely JDM Impreza which I bought a couple of months ago and the bug has got me already and things have started to happen already. This is the spec when I bought the car...
