I thought I'd start a project thread, although it won't be the conventional project thread as progress will be slow. So onto the car, it's my daily driver, a 2004 Hyundai Getz Sport 1.6 16v, as found in the UK, possibly elsewhere in the world, some go under the model name of Hyundai Click. The Sport model came fitted with a 1.3 16v and a 1.6 16v engine. The power figures for the 1.6 16v are a mahoosive 104bhp with 105.6 lbs/ft of torque. Trim wise the car came with electric windows, electric mirrors, electric sunroof, a/c and front fog lights as standard. The bodykit was an optional extra. The car came with many receipts for some of the other "extras" it has, such as the window tints, the graphics package and the leather re-trim...
P.s. I am not a chav, merely just somebody that is bored with their slow first car I like it personally, am open to criticism / comments P.s. I KNOW I need to get some side trim , I also know I need the bonnet to be sprayed, but it will cost me a fair bit and is not important :) I had just washed the car and realized I had no pictures of it as such
Hi all, managed to get a few photos of my car. Car spec; Peugeot 92 K reg 106 XT Hi comp 106 xsi bottom end with my 106 xt head, Lowered 60mm aprox front and 60mm aprox (2 splines of the torsion bar) rear, toyo proxes tyres front and rear (not sure make of alloys as they come with the car), clifford alarm, fully striped. all comments well come. :D
So this is my toyota starlet from 1996 with a 4efte conversion with megasquirt ECU, TD40 turbo running 0.7 bar and 174 hp. :) Firstly pictures with new wheels mounted And one with the old wheels.. The car has been modified so you can't see it's got a turbo engine mounted, even when you open the bonnet the original air filter is still in it's place, but with black pipes from the FMIC mounted behind the original air filter so you will have to go close up before you can see it's turbocharged. And the rear muffler kind of looks like the standard one, just a little larger and makes a great noise, not too loud either :) will post pictures tomorrow of the engine bay if people are interested :) Pics of machine ;)
this was my accord the 1st time round. it was standard when i got it. i lowered it 40mm, 17"s, self made front bumper and skirts, standard 2.0 16v single cam engine, induction kit and stainless b/box. this is it at the moment; sadly i havent had much time to do any work on this latley, the new spec is bodywork; coupe front and back bumpers modified to fit astra mk3 wide arch kit modifeid to fit fiat bravo indy500 skirts modified to fit impreza afterbbuner led back lights grafter in smoothed boot bi-plane spoiler bumpstrips removed side repeaters removed and placed in spoiler vents in bonnet bee sting areial running gear; rover 620 turbo conversion engine fully stripped bottom end lighten and balance inc...

Well i just (well mum did :D) put a deposit down on this Renault Clio 172 Cup only 3k :o get to pick it up in 2-3weeks, just waitin for my contract from work to say they taking me on for good took it out for a test drive and my god its quick not my normal choice for a car as i tend to like longer cars like big hatches saloons or coupes, but i decided to go for something a bit cheaper, and cheaper on insurance, and well more sensible (just for a few years ) well what you think? gonna mainly concentrate on slight astetic changes, a new induction kit as the one on the car just looks like a cheap ebay buy, and cat back, and at a push a remap, nothing drastic as im planning on buying the house im in in...
I took these a little while ago after giving it a quick clean. Since the photos I have changed the kidney grills at the front for some polished ones. My only real plans are to get some 17s for it, sort out some scratches and freshen it up a little bit. I don't want to do too much until I know what's going on with my insurance claim (on the Civic).

My car - Tiger Cub. Bought it some time ago - it had a standard 2 litre Pinto which I took out and replaced with a tuned 2 litre Pinto. Purchased from a reliable source the engine has been in about a year now. Very quick off the mark - right up my street. Haven't done a lot to it apart from buying some wheels and respraying them myself. I absolutely love the car BUT it now it has a rival in the shape of a Raffo Belva 2 litre Zetec. Cost me an arm and a leg - had to part exchange the wife to get it but unfortunately I can't keep both cars however much I'd like to so the Tiger Cub will very soon be up for sale. Will post photos of the new car as soon as I get my greasy mitts on it. Been lurking around the site for some time but now have...
Hi this is my awesome chevy project :D it is a Chevrolet Suburban made in the fine year 1985 with a 6,2 liter diesel engine. the plan was to do something cool with the paint but since that plan was made the automatic transmission thought it would be a great idea to break down  but it is raised for 35" tyres by icelandic standards NOT the american way  So now the plan is... 1. Take care of ALL rust in the car ( witch is not much ) 2. Put some awesome color on it maybe matte black or matte candy apple red or maybe gloss candy apple red I have´nt made the selection yet :) 3. Put some cool rims on it 4. Stereo 5. Lighting ( xenon ) 6. Re-tint the windows 7. New Grille this will all take a lot of time but I...
After a very long period of development my Sierra RS Cosworth is almost ready to rumble. The engine was completed in 2008 & its taken some time to develop the rest of the car. I will trundle it around for 6months or so to sort out any bugs before my next & final Topspeed run towards the end of 2010. 215mph in 1.5miles is the Target & we have about 1000bhp to achieve it. Only 2 road cars have ever cracked 215 in that distance in the UK so its a big ask, so wish me luck. Theres a vid below showing a test run at 900bhp & 187mph in just over 1/2 mile its scary. (Turn the volume up its a must) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hXNzf2kjqc
I bought the car in 2002 for £250 and have since spent an ever increasing amount of money on it, a year ago I decided to bite the bullet and as I had made a few contacts and friends in the right circles I booked it in for an engine rebuild but as things went on we found more and more things causing problems (rust mainly) and it turned into a bit of a nightmare. I really have a thing for classic motors so I pushed on and volunteered my services after work and at the weekends. It has been a long road but things are starting to come good and I am hoping to have it all finished for the show at the end of June. Unfortunately I cannot afford a respray and all the work besides so please excuse the mismatching panels. It did look quite good...
So here are some pic's I took when I went out for a drive earlier this evenig. This isn't my car so I won't be doing any work on it allthough I would like to. This isn't the greatest car for tuning but it's reliable and gets me from A to B so it will do untill I can afford something more fun and better for tuning.
Bought this recently to replace the Vectra Elite estate as badly missed my series 2 TD5 Discovery. Needed an auto as my clutch leg was suffering in traffic due to cellulitus issues in both legs over the years. So got a very happy place to be on the daily commute. No more leg cramps, bad back is now cosseted by the leather armchairs! So it's a Discovery 3 HSE auto with just about every extra going as was owned by a Land Rover Jaguar Director, has heaps of history and bills to prove. Perfect for my three Dalmatians and the 25' caravan. Need to buy a ramp for the dogs as it's a bit high for the lazy buggers! :D
Hey all this is my motor i got on tuesday for £600 and the insurance is £2612 Fully Comp so I just put her through the MOT and as you can see i cocked up with the motor oil trying to add oil in a force 7 gale doe not work!! This is My Fiat 1.2 8v ELX Its not anywhere near as nice as your cars but its quite nimble imho Any tips on what I can improve?
This is the car that has spawned my i think slightly unhealthy love of the Mx5 1998 and Previous, It is a 1.6i Eurons Roadster, I brought it in Australia and this is the car i taught my self to drift and slight around in on the dirt tracks in the country, that should be added to everyones bucket list, Rear wheel drive car on perfectly flat dirt roads. :) Couldnt figure out how to post on here so i have included a link :D http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/8113/mx5total.jpg
Here's some photos of the G60 I had a few years back. I would recommend one to anyone. It was amazing to drive. It was running 210bhp with a standard pulley. It sounded amazing with the combo of a stage 4 charger and a supersprint exhaust !! It was a bit unpractical for going up and down the motorway each day though especially being left hand drive. But it was fun !!
There's more in my profile. At present it's waiting on a couple more mandrel bends to arrive so we can finish the FMIC pipework. Since this phot was taken a few more bits have been added to the engine bay but not a great deal, mainly just some chromed items. Hopefully we'll find time in the next week or so to get it all together, we need the ramp space anyway. I'll add some more phots, probably to my profile, when it's back on four wheels.
Here's some pics of my gto tt , Its slowly getting to the condition that i want , So far its had the old cloth on the seats removed and replaced with leatherette , full 3" custom made exhaust , old electric shocks and springs changed to avo chassis dynamic springs and kyb adjustable shocks , goodridge brake hoses and rossini drilled and grooved discs , front and rear strut braces and a wee bit of engine polishing , oh and of course a turbo upgrade from the old 9bs to 13t , plus 19" alloys . I just need some piping to install my fmic and wire in the avc-r boost guage .. John
Re: Hey folks :D Ok so here it is. I took these about 4 days after buying the car so it is pre-valet and pre-gunked engine. Note the red Honda badge. It doesn't look like the original has been swapped but there aren't any TypeR Accords this early so I guess it must have been. Ignore the red circle, I was highlighting areas for attention to remind myself. This is a rust spot *shakes fist* If you are familiar with 5th gens you'll notice I ripped the number plate mounting off. The plate looks a lot more flush with the bumper now. Note the fake TypeR stickers. Another painful reminder of the car's history and how it was treated. The bump strips will be removed and am thinking about refurbing the honda wheels in white until I can...
My XJS Monaco XKR I actually sold this one and now have this one, which has had the engine pulled, stripped, stroked to a 4.2 and basically everything uprated, just need to get my hands on a Kenne Bell  This is my engine from my track car, this is an early pic before all the water was done properly and fuel lines I do like to play :D
HI all, heres some details of a little buggy i built last year, its a scratch built Lotus 23 race car, originally built with a K20 Type R engine, but a minor mishap saw it repowered with a K24 Turbo unit. engine is mounted in the rear in a north south configuration and runs through a Subaru trans axle converted to front drive and turned upside down. engine is stock with a Skunk inlet manifold and manual 80mm throttle body and is dry sumped with an IT power integrated pump pan unit. running on E85 with a mild tune it has 310 RWHP and 460ftlbs of torque, and in a car that only weighs 550kg its fairly quick to say the least. Only major problem so gar has been the drive line wasnt strong enough for so much torque, the original Lotus 23...

Hey guys this is my Matiz. As you can see nothing has been done to it at all which is why I'm posting it. I was wondering if anyone can make any suggestions and also can I get green headlights bulbs for it? The picture of the front of the car is not that great but I will get a better one
well it started like this basic car.. 15" std alloys, cloth interior, no rear speakers been sat in a stable for a year undriven and cost me £450 , 2 WEEKS LATER the head gasket went, typical but no real bother £300 to sort that out with a metal one, now the car looks like this from the rear. change to rear lights (custom surrounds and fiat coupe lights) quad longlife SS Exhaust, stainless roll hoops interior totally changed Now has red leather seats/door cards/steering wheel/and gear knob, red painted window trim to match, resprayed speedo surround and mk2 centre console, as sprayed graphite grey, blue lockhead dspeedo dials, The airbag blank has been turned into a storage cubby hole made Taken from a MGZR, and I replaced...
