Nah. Filter, fmic, remap and probably turbo back exhaust plus uprated recirc etc and 230hp.at the very very most.....standard turbo is nearing its limit. Weak as hell rods cars have thrown them at 280lbfts onwards and the VAG tuners charge the earth for everything.
sure i seen this the other day where he had mentioned that he was after a k03s for it as well. if its still running the original turbo on a Y reg its got the old tiny wee turbo, seeing as not many tuners would do stage 2 on this due to the pressure they end up under id say 210 max.
k03s would allow around 240 but again thats stressing. Rods depend on the acutal block as some were forged others not.
Oh okay.... Shame then! in fairness 230bhp is more then enough in a small hatchback! Does the Seat Leon Cupra R have a better engine? Or are they the same 1.8 lump?
the curpa R has similer 1.8 but lower compresion 9.3:1 rather than the 9.5:1. larger turbo, twin sidemount intercoolers, different fuel regulator, injectors ,rail, MAF, intake pipework - same airbox thou and throttle body.
MA is correct they are cheap to tune to a point but after the nomal basics theres a massive price increase.
to the OP sorry not for me love the engines and miss my old one but the sticker bomb and bra just dont do it at all for me
