We wish people would stop using stage to describe a tuning option or plan but while they do we’ll define here what we mean and expect when we talk about the term.
We get asked so much about this that we wanted to spell out what we mean and most car modders mean when talking about stage 1, 2 or 3 tunes or remaps and mods. We look at the various stages of tune/remap available and the mods that would work best on stage 1, 2 and 3 upgrades. Roll cages & Roll bars custom fitting kits
Many tracks insist that cars are fitted with roll cages and or roll bars. In motor sport competitions you will see that most regulations also insist on a roll-cage. What is the job of a roll cage and are there any advantages to having one fitted? More and more Torquecars members cars are being fitted with roll cages, so is this just a new styling trend or is there something beneficial to the car tuner?
Roll cages offer protection to the driver and tighter body control.
Fuelling uprating the fuel system
More power means that more fuel is required so we need to uprate the fuel system and we look at performance mods for your fuelling to avoid running rich or lean.
It is essential to keep the mix of air to fuel exactly right. Power is lost when the engine adjusts itself to stop it running too rich or lean. Many power losses, which manifest themselves as flat spots, at certain points in the rev band can often be traced to a fuelling issue so we will look at performance fuelling upgrades and parts.
