There are sadly a lot of common mistakes people make when tuning cars and we hope that this article will encourage people to think about their modifications.
Car tuning is very popular and more and more people are starting to look at options and begin modification of their cars. We do, however, see some shocking mistakes that are often made, and these can be quite dangerous.
We took a unit from TDI tuning to try out on our Audi A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI and took it to a rolling road to see if these tuning boxes live up to the hype. A tuning box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and takes the readings provided by the sensors and manipulates these before they go to the ECU. It then alters the output commands that would come from the ECU and takes over controlling the various engine components to give more power.
The Peugeot 206 has always been a fine car. For tuners and modders it has provided many opportunities to create something quite unique. Whether modifying a GTI or a HDi or a simple 1.1lx there are some great looking 206’s on the road. The one exception perhaps has been the 206 CC. We all know it’s a great car in it’s own right.
We seem to be getting more and more gadgets fitted to our cars. The list of possible enhancements seems to be complete and then another great innovation comes along. All types of entertainment equipment are available including DVD and various voice activated MP3 music, SAT nav and telephone systems.
