Suspension settings, lowering and stiffening
On the track your priority is fast cornering and suspension plays a large part in this. Track conditions are quite forgiving and you can make some compromises like using hard suspension and lowering the car for optimum aerodynamics and a low centre of gravity.
This works well because tracks are fairly flat and you do not have a carrier bag full of eggs in the car from your return trip to the supermarket.
Adding a superchargerWe look at adding a supercharger to a NASP (naturally aspirated) engine and focus on the main problem areas and considerations encountered in a tuning project of this scope.
There are lots of pitfalls and this is not a “bolt in on and hope it works” modification as many other things need to be done to make this work safely and reliably.
High performance engine tuningCareful selection of your internal engine tuning modifications can lift your engine from a purring kitten into a roaring lion!
While it is tempting to throw in every modification you can, it’s worth noting that not all mods work well together. This is something we cover in our articles as we steer you to the right decision on mods for your car.
Strengthening enginesWe look at pistons, conrods and cranks and explain the methods used to design and build these and the impact they have on strengthening your engine.
