Hi all, just wondered if anyone had any experience of tuning the 9-3TiD 2000/2001 model. I know around that time the engine changed from 110bhp to one outputting 125bhp. Which is the better engine - does the 125bhp one tune up better? Any advice?

I would tend to agree! However, it can't be long before someone with a standard golf gti gets hold of a w12 out of an A8 and tries to recreate this! Now that would be interesting.....500bhp in a Golf without expert R & D.

MSN are reporting that VW have built a prototype Golf Gti with the W12 engine in it. Producing 641bhp this Golf beast can apparently do 0-60 in 3.7secs and 202mph. Unfortunately it is never going to go into production - what a shame! What do you think...

Nice one Waynne - In either guise I bet it gave many hours of driving pleasure to its owners. The noise is just awesome, Alfa didnt get muich right around that time but the exhaust note was always spot on.

I believe the Q4 is a 4 cylinder turbo out of a lancia - tuned up by alfa.

Having done some research on the legalities of using veg oil in a diesel, it seems that site admin was WRONG (evil laugh) Apparently as long as you register with customs and exise and pay the appropriate duty on the oil you can use it freely. check out this site for more info...
