How long will you wait in traffic queues?

I was just wondering how long you would wait in a traffic jam before you did a U turn and found another route.

On a motorway you are kind of stuffed but in towns there are often "tourist" jams in and around the town centers.

I waited nearly 50 minutes in a queue the other day to get through a town center and I just thought to myself what a waste of time and fuel. Im sure I could have found another route around the jam but as it was not an area I was familiar with I just sat and waited.

not me mate, no my town off back of hand so generally no where traffics gonna be and avoid it ven if it means going long way! if i go somewhere new i tend to plan a couple of routes in case of said problem but if all fails then im an absolute nightmare in traffic and family/friends tend to feed me nicotine/coffee/sweets in that order!!!

If I know of another route, that probably isn't jammed then I will probably wait about 10/15 mins before I get fed up!
