1.8T vs 1.8T FSi tuning

What are the differences between the 1.8T vs 1.8T FSi.

What components do they share, which ones are different and what turbo does the FSi come with?

as far as im aware the FSI comes with a K03s turbo but never bother to check really.
the differences are the same as the non fsi - fsi engines.
the injectors inject directly into the cylinder as per diesel
there is no return line for the fuel
as far as im aware the block will be the same as the other 1.8t but the head will be different to allow for the injectors

the FSi are also alot harder to big tune with most ripping them out, blanking the ports off and replacing with standard injection

Isn't it annoying when manufacturers are chasing MPG and end up compromising the tunability of the engines.

Is the 2.0T along the same lines or is this a "more tunable" proposition?

just the same the more powerful 2.0 (s3, cupra, r20, etc) come with a 04 but its still the same


they still are tunable APR already do a stage 3 with 340 bhp and similar torque for the 2.0 its once you start running maxing out the injectors getting bigger ones for better fueling. there just isnt many options avalible .

give it another couple of years and i cant see it being a problem
