Wrapping rules?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the rules on wrapping?

I know a full colour change must be declared to the dvla.

It says partial wraps do not seem to be affected.

But....... there was also some info saying you do not have to inform them as long as the roof remains the same colour everything else can be changed.

I intended to keep the car roof and pillars black and change the sides, bonnet and boot.

It also says in all circumstances your insurance should be informed.

If you inform your insurers of everything then you will be covered (pun intended )
V5C document usually only states major colour. However, if unsure, do what I do - ask the DVLA, they are very helpful. That way you won't be misled by people on forums who think they know the answer

Thats what I wanted to know is what constitutes a major change?

I will give them a call to make sure but it was more for info in preparing to do any work.

I still have to cut out part of the roof and weld in the new section. Front and back.
