This rule applies to everything i can think of from Toothpaste tubes to Petrol in your tank. Why is it that the last bit always lasts longer? Does this demonstrate our wastefulness or our stinginess?

Can you think of anything this rule does not apply to? Is this the reason that the fuel tank guage is biased towards the full end when it gives readings.

I think its slightly bias, so you're less prone to running out... but maybe we drive frugally on the way towards the end of the fuel gauge? I know I do a bit at least...

I recently found out that the Golf takes 14.5 Gallons, but the display only counts 13.5 gallons.

Apparantly it'll drive for another 20 miles or so beyond the comp saying 0.

I drive normal until about 1/4 of a tank left then try and shift into 4th asap lol every little helps especially with fuel prices now
