Project: Mazdarati

Huge welcomes from Cold and Windy Copenhagen :)

Project is not mine, however since i am very much into mechanics and cars in overall (which is why we all are gavered here :D ) since i have my personal "Car Detailing" shop and pasion to cars, i am intorucing You a project of one of My friends. He is using My garrage now to work on with a car, and once it is technicaly ready i will get my fingers stuck onto it's bodywork (washing, claying, polishing wellm and getting a proper looks for it).

What's more as an info, advices and certain upgrades were provided by one of this kind best car "tuning" specialist who prepares rally cars for the tracks.
Currently cars weight is 800kg. In plans there are still 100kg to drop.

Carburators are off due to technical inspection. Once it is passed they will go back on and that's what will make a difference :) So will more pics going to be provided.

Engine:
1. The heads were "brushed" (not sure about definition in english) for better compression.
2. Bigger valves (from 626 Mazda) with twin springs for faster opening/closing(Nuo Volvo). Special Valve lifting connection between "upper side of valve" and the ball bearing which is connected with a valve lifter ( from Volkswagen ).
3. Custom made camshaft. 286 degrees Camshaft. Made in Germany by "dbilas dynamics"
http://www.dbilas-dynamic.de/dbilas_eng/index.htm
4. Intake and outlet channels have been ported and flow tested by one of the best tuners in denmark. He was the one to do the last fix ups, and owner did main things.
5. compression 12:1
6. (frezuotas) Flywheel is 2kg lighter than original. (original was lightened)
7. All valves with Connecting rods of a balanced weight.
8. Balanced Crankshaft from 1.5 Mazda 323 (1.3l block sits only for the inspection purpose ;) ) as well balanced to remove ex-centric vibrations.
9. 4 carburetors Kawasaki GPZ 900cc motorcycle.
10. Fuel pressure regulator.
11. Exhaust manifold is 4.2.1 with 2" pipe and 2 sport mufflers.
12. 3 electron spark plugs with one in the middle.
13. Bigger radiator from Seat 1.6 (which is double size from standart).
14. Oil cooler from GMC truck.
15. Battery moved to the back for better balance. (makes a big difference)
16. Mechanical Fuel pump replaced with electrical one.

Suspension:
1. A torsion bar between shock absorbers installed in front and rear.
2. Swedish companies harder lower springs.
3. Monroe Gas Shocks
4. Heavier Torsion bars
5. Bigger ventilated Brake discs from Mazda station car. (His memory prevents from remmembering the model :) )

Transmission:
1. 1.3l gearbox because of lower gearing to increase acceleration.

Interior:
1. Momo stearing wheel.
2. Two Leather Sparco bucket seats.
3. Tachometer
4. Oil pressure
5. Oil Temp.
6. Water temp.
7. Volt meter
8. Shortened gear stick
9. Launch control switches! (that adds 5 HP!!!)

Bodywork:
Aerodynamic mods done to make a better flow under the wheels.

Still to be done:
1. To implement water/methanol injection. Water will increase the Octan amount in the petrol, to reduce knocking in combustion chamber. So there is bigger Blow power caused by spark.

2. Roll cage.
3. Stabilizator for the shock absorbers.
4. Car to be lightened by 100kg.
5. Lower front spoiler.
6. Rear Wing.
7. Diffusor in rear.
8. Bottom covered with alu plate to make a better air flow.
9. To get a "sachs" companies Clutch.
10. Improving looks! Washing, claying, polishing! (MINE part! ALL MINE!!!!)
11. lighter hood and to cut out a lot of unneeded metal peaces.
12. And Most important: owner to loose 10kg :D

P.S. Owner is old fart who believes that superchargers and turbos makes cars impossible to drive and power goes up in rubber smoke instead of forward motion on a track.
