I know the makers all claim better MPG from the higher octane fuel but does this pan out in the real world?:D

Has anyone tried this? Does the extra mileage covered justify the extra fuel costs?

ive not seen much difference but cant really say ive done it sientificly?

I used to get slightly more MPG from super unleaded in the Nissan but this only really applies if your really trying to max out your mileage. Your right foot has far more to do with it.

I used to use Shell Optimax all the time in the Primera. Definitely smoother. Probably helped by the higher knock resistance which means that the engine isn't constantly winding back the timing on individual cylinders.
