Most powerful production FWD car

I'm out of touch at the moment with all the new models that keep coming out. As I can never afford one I stick to cars that are 3-5 years old!

What is the most powerful/fastest production standard FWD car at the moment?

Please make as many nominations as you can and hopefully we'll end up with a top 10 list of the most powerful production FWD cars.

I suspect there will be a power limit due to the drivetrain chosen of around 250bhp

Isn't the new Mercedes AMG CLA180 a FWD hatch? I think that has 300bhp from a turbocharged 4 pot.

v6 alfa is around 320 and there is a v6 twin turbo american ford thats 350 ish but........................

In the 70s there were quite a few yank V8s were fwd . There was a fwd cadilac with a huge engine and oldsmobile made a fwd car called the tornado GT which about the quickest .
In those days figures were not always honest but the quoted 400 from a V8 isnt unreasonable (with maybe 500 ft lbs )

It had the engine fitted front to back so it didnt suffer torque steer , even so it still didnt handle . Of course this hardly mattered as nobody bought one to go round corners
