Ice & Perspex windows

Here's a thing I never anticipated. I have Perspex windows in the rear of the car, is it safe to use De-icer or should I leave the ice to melt naturally? It's not a big problem but it did amuse me this morning

Personally I don't see why you can't use de-icer, but i've never tried it on perspex before.

No problems there. It contain Isopropyl alcahol which does not dissolve plastic.

Don't use acetone or other spirits though!
