civic type r induction

hi i have a civic type r with a k&n induction kit fitted, it points towards to back of the car with no cold air supply directly to it, would that be ok or would i need to get cold air to it.

You really must get a cold air feed. The under bonnet temperatures can really suck power. Have you thought about a bonnet vent near the induction kit?
