air filter

hi

i own a honda civic ep3, i recently bought a pipercross panel filter for my car and changed the stock paper filter element, car seems bit more responsive but as i was tightening one of the bolts which hold the filter box together, i managed to snap the bolt in half and now have half the bolt in the lower housing. please can someone help me and tell me if i get another bolt will i be able to push the other half broken bolt out the bottom of the filter box.

ok not the best way of doing it but does work as i use a similer method for removed sheared screws outo nylon.

take the air box out and use a hack saw to cut a thin groove in the middle of the bolt - you will cut into the plastic - for a few mm. get a flat blade screw driver and tap it into the slot and unscrew. IIRC they are 6mm bolts. take another one to a decent work / enginnering shop and they should have something similer
