88 mighty max 4g63 non turbo swap.

can i still put a turbo on this engine or do i need to get a 4g63 turbo engine??? i havent ordered it yet but i will in about 2 months but if any other engine suggestions i would like to hear them..
plus in on a budget of 2000.

fitting a turbo engine would probably be both easier and cheaper. but not sure of the car as its an older american car the compression may already be pretty low so boosting is easier
