i think the k03-s was standard on these engines after 2001 in 150bhp and 180bhp guises,so 180bhp should be achievable with just a remap. fitting an aftermarket exhaust and a decent panel air filter or induction kit should give even more power.

just been offered one of these very cheap.i know next to nothing about saabs so was wondering if anyone can tell me if the 3.0l turbo diesel is any good. will a remap etc give good power gains or would i be wasting my time?

my a4 is 17years old and still pulling strong,the front arches are starting to bubble (they all do that sir) but other than that she's sweet as a nut.

i drove a insignia today,just a boggo 1.9d i think ,it was a hire car work got me to drive to atherstone to attend a course.it was an automatic. tbh nice enough car but nothing special to drive,it was just ....alright. get the seat.;)

i had a 1.8 petrol estate mk1 as company car and i loved it.the 1.8 engine was imo the best of the zetec engines ,the perfect balance of power and reviness if there is such a word,ive never driven the diesel so couldnt honestly comment.

agreed. avoid anything that claims to increase horsepower/economy or fix your knackered engine by simply pouring it into your engine/fueltank,its all rubbish and a waste of your hard earned cash.;)

hi,for the paint i would go go to wilko's they sell small 150ml enamel spray paints branded plasticote.you will need a primer paint for plastic, normal primer will eventually flake off so make sure you get the right stuff.for the top coat i would use the enamel spray paints as they spray well...

chrome exhaust trims that point backwards when you can clearly see the end of the pipe pointing at the floor through a hole in the bottom of the trim. latest landrover freelander springs to mind.

when you say you've changed the gearknob do you mean the knob on the end of the gearstick? if so did you have to use force or did it unscrew easily? i can only think that you may have slightly bent or strained one of the gear linkages making it not quite engage those three gears.the only other...

defo tappet noise.i think they are hydraulic and need oil pressure to operate fully,when they are worn the oil thats in em drains away when the engines not running and stood for a hour or so,when you restart the engine it takes a minute for oil to fill em back up and thus operate correctly...

i dont bother with air freshners i just febreeze the seats and carpets once a week paying parcticular attention to the drivers seat,it gets some right hammer on a monday morning after sunday nights bhuna+5 pints of mild.

good luck with the project,the hand brake would be a bit of a faff but not to hard to do.the only problems i can see is getting hold of the pull out mechanism,i seem to remember the izuzu 5-6ton mini lorry i used to drive had one,so maybe commercial vehicle breakers might be an area to research...
