How often would SPORTS mode be used

Most of the time I use D mode. I can still 'flappy paddle' if I wish to while in D which I like. Sport mode seems a little intense in revs for normal day to day use. I don't have the adaptive chassis control option on my car, it's just a standard setting, which I find is a little hard for just...

    Need more power!

After a successful remap to 180 BHP/ 295 lb f, i am longing for more power. When I initially had it done I was more than happy with it, but have now got used to it. I know I've no option to increase power further without upgrading clutch etc, so I'm already thinking about which car I want next...

Cars like women or women like cars

They both drive you round the bend and it's nice to get their back ends out now and again (childish giggle)

    Remap booked!

The remap was done by Autotune in Ballymena. I feel like I've enough power to satisfy my needs at the moment, but you may be right, I've got a taste of the power now and might want more(B) Thank you so much HDi for taking the time to share your knowledge and advice. I trust I will learn many...

    Remap booked!

It's a Common rail. The guy who did the map upset me a little by telling me "he's not fond of these set-ups", in regard to DMF and a drive plate. To be honest I didn't totally understand all the jargon but let him waffle on.

    Remap booked!

All done! I can't believe the improvement. The throttle responds like its on amphetamines and the speedo just shoots up effortlessly. Best £200 I ever spent. I didn't get to put car on rollers but the guy says I'm getting around 175-180 BHP and about 290 (ish) lb of torque. The biggest thing I...

    Music while driving

I'm pleased to have found another Smashing Pumpkins fan. They are one of my favourite bands. Have you heard their new album? 'One and all' and 'anti-hero' are the big hits from it. :woot:

    Music while driving

What music do we like to listen to while driving? Does it affect your driving behaviour? I love a bit of chilled out guitar to just cruise around to, but fast paced stuff makes me a bit feisty with the right foot.

    Is your car safe

I must say that having a good NCAP safety rating does not give me much confidence or reassurance. After being involved in a small crash at 35mph, and seeing the damage caused, I dread to think what the outcome would be if it was more serious. Crumple zones? My car disintegrated.

    Alloy wheel DIY repair

I have a few bad scuffs on my alloys. I would consider trying to repair them myself. I would like advice on the best kit available and any tips you may have.

ESP- license to drive like a maniac?

To be honest, I'm not a crazy driver, but when I read ESP 'facts' there's a little voice in my head says "is that so? Let's test you out then" :D

Things you won't have or consider

I like the idea of the electric car as far as being kind to the environment (I'm not a hippy I promise), but there is a long way to go before they are deemed as acceptable in terms of performance and fair pricing. So until technology in that area takes a leap, I will continue to spread my dirty...

ESP- license to drive like a maniac?

Has anyone tested ESP to its limits? I'm curious about its ability, but too scared to 'try it out'. I haven't had the car for long so don't intend to wreck it....yet. ;)

Recommend a high performance family car

Compared to the cars I had in the past, yes they are :) . Ive had to find a balance between working to a tight budget but meeting requirements for decent power and size. Maybe I know less about good cars than I thought. I trust that joining this forum will help sort that out.

    Two weeks until remap (excited)

Thanks for your replies. There is a 170BHP version of the Exeo, and to my knowledge it has the exact same gearbox in it, but it has a different clutch. I priced a new clutch/flywheel set at around £400 (not including labour to fit it). I Don't intend to rally the car around, but we all love the...

Recommend a high performance family car

In my most recent search for a decent performance family car, I looked at 320 M sports, Audi A4's and Mazda 6's. I found them over-priced for the low spec models. I came across my Seat Exeo (by accident) and took a test drive. I was pleasantly surprised by how solid it felt, and not to mention...

    Two weeks until remap (excited)

Hi everyone, I picked up a 2009 Seat Exeo SE Lux 143 last week. It feels pretty quick, but because it's so heavy I think I'd like more power/torque. I've never had a remap done before, and I'm concerned it may be hard on the clutch etc. My mileage is already 77K so I'm worried about putting...
