Stupidly when I was filling up the car I tried to clean off some bird lime using the sponge and bucket provided at the filling station.
Some water ran down straight into the open filler into the fuel tank.
I'm guessing cars can cope with a little water but what is the worst case scenario?
Surely water would go to the bottom of a tank of diesel and be the first thing through the engine?
Do cars have a mechanism for dealing with water in the fuel, surely condensation happens inside the tank normally anyway?
