Too much plastic

Is there too much plastic in modern cars?

What would you prefer to see instead? Carbon fibre, Stiched leather or wood or some other material?

I think the quality of plastics have improved a lot and although cars contain a lot of plastic this does not actually look or feel plasticy. Go back 20 years and compare the plastics with modern ones and you will see what I mean

My Civic feels plasticy when you get into the back seats... Suddenly you notice that Honda didn't intend many people to see it. It's as if they did the front ok, then decided they couldn't be bothered with the back. But that's typical Jap cars for you... I'd rather have a reliable and tuneable engine instead of a nice interior anyway.
