Any do's and don't's on buying/applying a sport cat to my x-type. I also have read that uprading my fuel pressure valve will help throttle response. Throttle response is my main goal. So far I have added induction upgrade and sport exaust(rear section). Will the fuel pressure valve alone add response or do i need to couple that upgrade with something else.

Not sure about the fuel pressure valve thing, but if you want to improve throttle response then I would look at buying a full performance system rather than just a back box & a re-map. After that to improve throttle response you'll need to reduce the rotating mass of your engine, the easiest part to change is the flywheel for a lightweight item. After that it's going to get expensive & you'll be looking at Individual throttle bodies & cams etc.

You can also look to see if any weight can be saved in the car, the less weight the engine needs to pull along the better the throttle response. :)
