R configured engines

I know Straight, V and W engine configurations but what is an R configured engine? It can't be R shaped surely?
 
Radial configuration is the only thing i can think of at the min. dont think its used in cars however its mainly older aircraft that ran it

I'd go with Mr Pgarner & say it's a Radial or Rotary engine. Honda, Toyota & Jaguar all manufacture 'R' engines but they are all conventional cofigurations. Kia have recently announced their new 'R' diesel engine producing 145kw (194 bhp) & 436 NM Torque but that's a normal one as well. :amuse:
