panel filter??????

ive heard that a panel filter is better for my vw polo than an induction kit. which is what ive got on mine at the mo. but i cant say ive ever heard of a panel filter. anyone know what they are??

yeah mate they are the standard shape filter

they have higher flow rates than the standard ones

A k&n will work perfectly fine with your car. I had a 214 Rover with an induction kit an it worked fine. Just make sure you get a cold air feed pipe with it an you'll be fine....

Instead of being made of paper they are usually made of layered foam or cotton gauze. The cotton gauze ones have better flow and filtration rates usually.

Hi guys.
I still wonderin too about that induction kit for my polo 1.4 16V 9N 2004.
Original suction pipe is quite long and may be difficult to get cold air.
Its may be off topic but is the exhaust manifold good enough so if i change cat back is it enough?

use some ducting to get the cold air from the front to the filter.

exhaust manifold should give small gains but doubt youll hardly notice anything major by fitting the manifold maybe better pick up

K&N CAI kit is sold with ducting.
May be new ducting for original filter or k&n panel filter will do the job too...

An induction kit is more for the roar it gives under the bonnet but if you get a good enough cold air feed it will make the engine a little more responsive.
