air filter (oil or not oil)

wouldnt bother oiling then to be honest mate. too much and youll do more dmage than good anyway

Is it metal mesh, cotton gauze or foam? I don't think it really needs oil unless it it not a fery fine grade of filter and then I would use oil very sparingly! If it didn't come with oil or pre-oiled then I wouldn't bother.

cheers for the replies. but i have sorted it by buying a new one from halfords which has instructions and now i know what im supposed to do with it. cheers anyway. its the mushroom filter (blue) if any of u wondered
