ecu parts question

hi all can someone or anyone tell us what I will need to swap 94 tigra 1.4 to a 2.0 let engine :embarrest: , I know about engine / gearbox mounts as well as main loom ecu and other bits . my main question is do I need the chip out of donor car key and the pick up for chip ??? . mine has chip and fell out key ( opened 2 halves ) it wasn't until mrs went to go out car would start then stop ( scratched me head ) the night before the key had opened and chip fell in road next to car , well I got on my hands and knees and found it and car worked fine of course . so do I need the donor one for ecu and everything to work .

yes box in foot well . but what about chip in key and sensor and pick up that makes circuit eg the alarm immobilizer for the ecu to work . that's what I am asking ?? I think :embarrest::embarrest::embarrest: the chip sender /chip receiver & ecu unit / all have to be paired together for everything to work ??
