I'm new to tuning in general.
I have just bought a hybrid car, Audi A3 45 TFSI-e. And I am looking at different tuning kits, mostly to get an idea of what is possible.
I can understand that it makes no sense currently to tune the electrical engine. Even though it does not provide its full capabilities to the car.
So I'm left with tuning kits for the petrol engine, which is also ok.
The electric and petrol engines can work in unison and generate higher torque and thus higher HP. This mode is called boosting and last for 10 seconds.
But I cannot find any information regarding how the tuning works in conjunction with the electric engine. Can the gearbox etc. handle the strain of tuning the engine and then also boosting with the electric engine?
