DTU Supermileage

Finally, we (me and a bunch of other young uns) have made our prototype vehicle called the supermileage vehicle. It is made entirely from scratch to participate in the Shell Eco-Marathon in Malaysia in July.
Specs-
1. Carbon fibre body
2. Aluminium Chassis 6061
3. Honda GX35 engine
4. Michelin 20 X 1.76 tyres (3 wheeled)
5. Aerodynamic shape (Cd estimated to be 0.2 )
6. SKF manufactured (customised for 40 inch spokes) wheel hubs
7. Mileage estimated to be 320 kmpl

the competition is held in two categories, the prototype and the urban concept.
we will participate in the prototype. no, this is a competition between undergrads from various universities. we get funded by the universities and by companis which wish to sponsor us. like shell, skf are providing the fuel, lubricants and bearings

Nice work there, how many hours have gone into that project?

the work started in december, the designing and software version was created by january. (Solidworks was used to design and ansys was used for testing).
the actual work began in june, we stopped it till june because of end semester exams. the entire work was done by the 15th of june. not bad, considering we started at 10am and ended at 9 pm:blink1:?
