How did I not see that:blink:,to early in the morning after a long night shift , anyway 1275 GT engines were pretty good especially if you skimmed the head.

very unlikely, my old Avonbar 1380 metro turbo was only 112bhp

Why not install the k tech motor read it is not to hard.

Popular conversion these days are Honda V-Tec. 'A' series are okay but limited horsepower and expensive to get it there. I ran a 1340 using cooper internals, Longman rallycross head and cam with a 48 Weber coupled to a Jack Knight straight cut gearbox and a Quaife LSD. Not sure what the figures were, but about 130 mark.

A popular conversion is fitting the fitting a BMW K1100 16V twin cam head to the A series engine, a hillclimber I spoke to this year said he was making 180bhp from his mini & from the way it went & sounded I don't doubt it either!

Hyabusa 1300 engine! standard they are just below 200bhp. Dunno how the gearing etc will work with it being a car.

THere was a thread on here a while back regards to putting bike engines in cars, we agreed it was pretty unworkable however I have seen mini's with 'busa engines.
