Are Skodas the best cars around?

All these what car surveys and the like seem to imply that Skoda make the best cars.

According to a Skoda driving mate of mine they are better made that Audi and VW!

Who's being biased here? My mate or the rest of the entire world?

They are arguably well made cars. Whether superior to Audi and VW is debatable. In the early days of 'new Skoda' people were very excited to shout about how good their own cars were, whereas Audi and VW has made decent machinery for many more years previously so it's not so much of a talking point.

They have come on in leaps and bounds since the old days. Can not remember so many jokes being told about a particular car as was the Skoda i.e. Skoda's came with a heated rear screen as standard so that you could keep your hands warm while you were pushing it

I personally like them and to be honest, I cannot think of anything really wrong with any of the models that they make.
