1999 E46 328i throttle body convertion - advise wanted

Hi i have a 1999 E46 328i iv tried looking for information about a throttle body convertion, has any one on this site done this and if so what bits do you need and how much of a real difference in power does it give???

I could only find something for the E34 5 series 528i, but it might fit, but it's a pricey mistake though....
