Taking the car of the road for a while

just wandering when members take there cars of the road for a lengthy period what are the do's and dont's??
 
- Don't leave the handbrake on otherwise the brake can seize up. Chock it instead.
- I would probably cover it up too.
- Make sure you start it up every week and leave it to reach temperature. The lazy alternative is to disconnect the battery.
- Don't leave anything damp/wet inside and remove anything of value.

This is what I did when my Civic was off the road. I even took the seats out just in case somebody got inside (it was missing a window at the time due to the accident).
 
I'm not sure how it happened, but my backseats started growing mould on them.
So yeah :/
Just realised, too, that i left my battery charger running. Might be wasting my girlfriend's parent's electric a bit...
