Staying alert whilst driving

What do you do on those long night time drives to keep yourself awake whilst driving?

Are you a redbull, caffeine addict? Do you play music really loud or turn the aircon down really low, does opening the window help if you are feeling sleepy?

Nothing a can of relentless cant sort

Only problem is the added toilet stops along the way.

Alternatively driving at 180 tends to keep you awake no matter how tired you might be. Not saying I have ever done this though

Music up for me and lower the temp in the car a little.

I generally don't or will not drive if I am tired to be honest. Not really worth the risk.

Neither will I Dave, but tiredness sneaks up on you on long runs sometimes and its not always easy to pull over to take a break; it certainly is not a habit of mine.

too many nightshift means dont really tire. For long distances i actually prefer to drive through the night as the roads are alot clearer
