Hi all, have developed an itch to try and make my 2.2 omega into a sleeper, anyone heard of one before or have any advice, all will be gratefully received.

Hello :)

Omegas are great cars in my opinion, the 2.2 petrol not remotely rapid in anyone's mind, but they are comfortable and generally pretty reliable unlike many Vauxhalls. I have an idea most were German built - maybe that's the reason????? And I know that traffic police throughout the UK loved them in 3.2 V6 form, much as they loved the 24v Senators.

There's not a huge amount you can do with a naturally aspirated engine without spending huge money, however, folks on here will certainly have so ideas to consider. Problem is that if you go mad with tuning it won't be a sleeper in terms of noise etc.

This is an interesting project proposition though.

How much performance are you after?
