Losing tools

Have you ever completely lost a tool or part you've literally just put down?

Did it turn up later in a silly place? I have an old car with a hammer in the area between the wing and the plastic liner! It fell in whilst I was bashing out a dent and I never did get it back. Somewhere out there is a purple Audi with a mysterious clunk noise in the front wing.

I absolutely hate to lose any tool, one of the reasons that I only buy tool cases with pallets so that I can see what's missing before I depart a job.

Young guy at work was complaining about a loud knock in his car he had just bought so I had a look and found a vise grip on the rear strut.He is now knock free and has an addition to his tool box.

What are the chances of that!? At least it wasn't a big problem and no has a free tool!
