i would not cut those springs! springs have what is called a poundage rating, which basically means what weight they are desighned to take, if your cutting it down, then its like asking that spring to take the same weight, and be under that much stress with a chunk of its structure missing...

yer i am too an fan of the old xrs as well, i have owned an xr2i in the past and that was a fun little toy! surprised quite alot of people at the lights aswel! hopefully when im done wiv the nova it will be able to do the same! oh yer i have fitted the engine today, well ive got the old one out...

yer thanks m8 i have been making good progress, ive had a few problems, but on the whole its been going well so far i have refitted the cars inteior, sorted the door locks and sorted most of the rust loool i have just rebuilt the new engine thats going to be going in, so its had new headgasket...

you could go for a mk4 golf gti 1.8 non turbo, they are a group 10 insurance which aint bad u shud be able to get insured with a years driving behind u,there not that fast but still a big step up from a 1.2 corsa ....

i have been looking into fitting a 2.0 litre in there, the only thing holding me back is insurance i want to get quotes on what it is gunna cost before i fit somthing i carnt get insured in.... if however insurance is to high on the 2.0 litre i will have to go for the 1.6 engine but dont worry...

engine dress up parts are not that expensive.... debadging your can is a cheap way to improve the exterior look of your car for the interior i think having a decent headunit can lift the look of your centre consol.... you can pick up mats, belt pads , neons cheap as chips on the internet...

if your going to tune your engine dont forget about the cars handling! how about lowering it and fitting front and rear strut bars to improve the cars handling? adding some alloys with fatter tyes will imporve the handling and the look of your car... this will enable you to give it some...

yer one of my m8z parked on a hill and didnt put the handbrake on properly.... the car was in neutral as well.... as he got out of the car he left the drivers door open the car the rolled back down the hill, (at speed) and a lampost took the door clean off! very clumsey if u ask me lol

you could try using some back to black stuff for your bumpers and trims to go over the stains, you can buy it at halfords and its fairly cheap i use it on my bumpers if they start to fade or to get rid of stains.... just make sure you dont get any on your paintwork!!!!
