Ok, so you're driving along an A road and you catch up with someone who's slowing you down. The road ahead is clear, its safe to overtake and when you do, the driver you're overtaking beeps or flashes you angrily. Does this annoy anyone else other than me??

Citroen ax shell + vts engine = flying machine :D . I was just wondering how hard it would be to put a citroen saxo vts engine into my old diesel citroen ax... Its been done before so i tried finding a guide but haven't been successful, any ideas?

I love driving too, but i get annoyed and frustrated when i'm stuck behind someone thats slowing me down, i like to feel totally unrestricted. Usually music improves the driving experience too and i sometimes just go for a drive for the hell of it

By the way, do any of you know of a place i can legally and safely drive fast around Birmingham (or Aberystwyth)? Preferably free or very cheap

When i see a big burnout video, i usually cringe thinking of all the tread disappearing from the tyres (and probably fear of the engine going pop in my car)... although i do like a little wheelspin every now and again

ok, and finally one last question (perhaps, for now :lol: )... do you think i woud benefit from getting the k57i induction kit or not? I think the exhaust is "walkers" actually, its wa - something for sure.

I don't think my car came with a catalytic convertor (1989) so that might not be a problem. I've seen the induction kit for about £60 incl devliery or something like that and thats all i was really looking to spend because my bank balance is showing about -70 at the moment :roll: Would i have...

Can't find the twister for a mk2 golf and they're pretty expensive :? How much difference would a k&n k57i induction kit make compared to the typhoon (as the price difference is a hell of a lot from what i can see)? Also, would the exhaust i have be good enough to mean that i wouldn't lose...

Hmm, might give it a miss then unless someone has done it on a mk2 golf gti and its good. I found out it hasn't got a standard exhaust as well, so would an induction kit be a good way to go or just a pipercross air filter or something? I think the exhaust has "wayne" on it if i remember...

Hey, just saw something called an ecotek valve on http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20golfmk2/engine.html that creates turbulence in the inlet manifold, apparently "reduces emissions, improves fuel consumption and maximises engine performance." Any truth in this or would i just be getting ripped...

woah, thats a lot more than the 2.9 vr6 isn't it?

I'm guessing that the turbo will come with lower insurance though. I don't know if i should step up to the turbo and step it up again after that, but then i wouldn't really be able to mod it now or with the turbo without losing loads of money once i upgrade. I'll be 21 this month when i get...
