recommended engine oil

hi all,
just found this site, its owesome. I was wondering if anyone knew what engine oil does Audi recommend for Audi A3, 2003 model (Non turbo) ??

I tried looking for a service manual online but no luck so far.

i use this in the bora turbo, check the manual in the car it should give you the correct grade and any VAG ratings it has to match

should also say its not that cheap, bit seeing as its the most important thing in the engine

I also use 5w30 in mine - I have been known to buy the official Audi stuff they use for the long life service. Make sure it is fully synthetic and get some good stuff. The oil pumps are prone to failure if sludge builds up and the cheaper oils and mineral based oils tend to sludge quite easily.
