Rear lights...

Is there a certain type of paint needed to blacken the rear lights of my car..?
If so where can i get some ?

do you mean tinting spray ?
my local car parts shop sells it, just watch how much you put on as it needs to allow so much light through.

As pgarner says, it is just a normal tinting spray, available from most motorists shops.

If the can comes as part of a kit, it will include reflectors/better bulbs, which sorts out the possible legal problems.

Hi Jod and welcome to TorqueCars. Films are usually easier and cleaner to apply. If you do go with a spray then build it up in very thin layers, you can add easily but you don't have the option of taking the paint away.

I've known people to use black tights to cover the rear lights with....

i tinted the orange drive lights on 200 with vinyl tint (heated slightly so not to get creases)

then if you dont like you can remove it without having to buy new lights
