Is there a certain type of paint needed to blacken the rear lights of my car..?
If so where can i get some ?

As pgarner says, it is just a normal tinting spray, available from most motorists shops.

If the can comes as part of a kit, it will include reflectors/better bulbs, which sorts out the possible legal problems.

Hi Jod and welcome to TorqueCars. Films are usually easier and cleaner to apply. If you do go with a spray then build it up in very thin layers, you can add easily but you don't have the option of taking the paint away.
 
i tinted the orange drive lights on 200 with vinyl tint (heated slightly so not to get creases)

then if you dont like you can remove it without having to buy new lights :)
 
welcome to tc forums and i would go with film first i might work and also its removible if you dislike then go for them perm option keep on posting mate its nice to see some fresh faces posting and coming back for the answears. also on behalf of everyone im sure your very welcome for all the replys :D
