polishing wheels

My friend has a 306 gti6 with standard painted alloys. Does anyone have any tips/advice for taking the paint off and polishing up the bear mettle?

Are they smooth or a pitted finish? A chrome coat would be the easiest to get done IMHO. Other than that a polishing wheel and lots of patience. Start off course and build up to fine then use a Metal Polish/Tcut for the final finishing coat.

Experiment on the inside edge of the spare and see if you think it is worth doing.

i spray alot of my car parts, including wheels
its not a nice job stripping the paint of them, can i ask why he wants to do it??

I'd leave the paint on or get them painted again. Oh and welcome to the Forum buddy...

What's the wheel design like? From experience I would not bother as you will end up with 4 odd wheels! The first one is painful and the other three don't normally get that far!

Beadblast and powder coat etc if that were me

i think it is only differance is it wont cut through the metal like a sand blaster would, i could be wrong
