One off performance car?

Hi Guys,

I want to throw out a question just to gauge how viable a plan of mine is. I'd like to take an old car and completley recondition it before stripping it down and turning it into an unusual one off performance car (I'm thinking ariel atom style). I'd like to get it Q Plated on the road and sell it on, using the money I get to fund bigger projects.

What would be the chances of me being able to sell the car on? (I'm only thinking about selling it off for 3-4k max).

Not many cars have a "real" chassis nowadays, everything is all welded together.

TVR's come with a proper chassis though and an older TVR may just be ideal. I doubt that you would be able to resell such a car very easily though although a quick trawl through the kit car mags may indicate otherwise.

Do it for fun, learn from it and enjoy driving it - at least you will have got your moneys worth out of the car.
