Number of driving tests you took

Did you pass first time or did you take a number of tests?

I passed second time around, I have mates who took over 7 driving tests though but that seems a bit extreme!

Mind you, I reckon it was a lot easier back then. No theory for example.

I passed second time. First time I took the test in my instructors Ford Focus and sat in Ashford town centre at some traffic lights, typical me, I didn't notice they went green and he had to tell me. Apparently that's a failure!

The instructor couldn't book me in again with his car for another 3 weeks, which was really annoying - but the test centre had spaces 2 days later, so I booked the test 2 days later and used my dads Freelander ... and passed with only 1 minor (blindspot check). Was very happy indeed!
