Nissan in BMW

Usually, I see BMWs (the e30 in particular) engines being modified with a later series engine and in an odd case a supra engine was placed and tuned to get 1100hp. I was wondering if it is possible or has been done that any Nissan engine was implemented in the e30 or any BMW or is it just impossible.
 
The nissan rb26DETT engine has been put into a bmw e 30 a few times.

Other six cylinder nissan engines would fit but there isnt much point as with a 2.8 or 3.0 kit the sky is the limit as long your wallet is large enough
