Need some advice (again)

as you know i have my astra 1.6 twinport

will there be any advantage or slight increase in powere if i block of the egr vavle ???

also with my engine would it be better to get a k&n intake box or just panel filter

I would stick with the panel filter and just use OEM paper elements. EGR will be fine as it is. As long as the car is driven properly ie. not grannied around in 5th gear at 35mph

Most EGR valves shut off when the car is on full throttle so there is nothing to be gained by removing or blocking it.

You might have to "map out" anything you block off, I had mine deleted and routed the breather via a catch can to remove any contamination to the inlet side of the turbo, this prevents turbo runaway and keeps things clean
