LOOKING FOR CIVIC 'HEATSHIELD' INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET

I am trying to find a supplier for an intake manifold gasket.It is called a HEATSHIELD gasket and lowers the intake gases temp by up to 20C to give an increase in BHP. I read about it somewhere but can't find a supplier in UK.HELP!

Hi Doody - I asked around and couldn't come up with anyone that heard of this. There was talk of a ceramic gasket but I don't hold much store by this. There were also some thicker steel gaskets but these are for changing the CR of the engine more than heat transfer and we are talking head gasket rather than intake.

The Skunk II racing intakes are rated by Civic owners, put some exhaust wrap on and you have the best of both worlds.

have heard about these in the form of powergaskets for the VW1.8 but not for civics
