S'funny that, I was talking to a chap last week about this.
He's self employed & his car is leased, he does a lot of travelling around the country & he missed is last service by several thousand miles. Not being keen to pay the extra penalty for the additional mileage he had a chap come round with a van full of laptops & £120 he reset the mileage. But not only did he do the speedo he also reset all the sub systems to match (it took three different lap tops to do this over an hour & a half or so apparently), so should the garage check there will be no hidden data to give the game away.
The worst is yet to come, he's done this at least twice before to the same car. :blink:
The moral is don't buy an ex lease car!
