How much (roughly) would it cost me (19 w/2yrs NCD) to get insured on a Corsa VXR, I have enough for the car but my current insurance company (ingenie) wont even insure me on the car at all. I know it wont be cheap but if I could get it for under 2k ish id be happy to do it. If any of you have any previous experience with this or know any good company's that will be willing to insure me then please let me know, ill be very grateful for any help. Thanks.

^^ Indeed Adrian Flux are very good, I have just renewed with them earlier this morning for another year. My Saab Owners Club membership took another 10% off the premium - happy days

Yep club memberships pays for itself every year with insurance discounts. Even mentioning I'm member of VW Golfmk5 club (yes there is one) gets me a discount on my diesel. Depends on the insurers but most specialist companies will offer a discount to club members.
Just a note on Flux. I went with them 1st year on my GTR but 2nd year they wanted to renew at over £1k! Footman James and Sky renewed well under half the price. Depends on your personal circumstances though

Yeah Footy did a blinding classic deal on my 944 turbo few years ago £120 with all extensive mods and guaranteed value. They were also excellent when I had to make a claim

Aye well he is 69. The car is 27.

He's had it 9 years now and fancies a change. Im pointing him towards a lexus ls or gs 430 v8. Legendarily smooth.

A friend of mine saved £400 a year by selling his Corsa VXR and buying an Audi TTRS?!?!? I still can't believe an Audi was cheaper to insure but it was - I guess Audi drivers are safer/better/more skilled ;) .

Why a Corsa VXR? I have in fact been in one and they feel slow. I am soon planning on selling my Zed and buying an Audi A3 1.8T with the Quattro system. 180bhp as standard and if I am correct comes with the AGU engine code which means they have a forged bottom end as standard!

Isn't the agu engine 150bhp?

why not just get the s3?? 225bhp standard remap gets you 260bhp min would take a lot more modding to to get 1.8t 180bhp to get to that

Indeed. I did a quote for an A3 1.8T Quattro and that was £1429. When I did a quote for an S3 it was £4K!

Silly really.
