How much power EA111 handle

how much power can a 1.4 TSI/TFSI EA111 stock internals realistically handle before engine forging (pistons, rods, crank) is necessary?
 
IMO if you are intending to increase the power of a turbo powered vehicle then you must do as much research as you can before adding more boost as that can dramatically increase the dynamic compression rate. IF you want a trouble free experience then forged pistons and rods is the way to go.

Search the VW websites for more info for starters.
 
Thanks for your advice it’s much appreciated, my only dilemma is that I’m trying to maintain a budget for this car and seeming as it’s only a small displacement engine (1.4l) I feel like it’s not worth all this money to achieve power figures a larger displacement engine could achieve easily. Maybe it’s worth saving my money for a future project that’s more bang for my buck.
