Want to squeeze some more power out my civic? was thinking were to go first...
am on a budet but can find the money if the mod good enough, been looking at turbos and superchargers..
any1 had a lightened fly wheel and clutch assembly fitted?!
:D:D:D

supercharging is supposidly better for the vtec as its not controlled byt he exhaust gas.
think the vtec comes on valves open wider suddenly youve got alot more gas coming through and a chance of spiking the boost.

problem you have is the very high compression the type r runs 11:1 means that you could have a serious problem of pre-det ending up with alot of engine parts going lots of different ways. look towards low compression pistions and watch out for the "turbo kits" that are avalible for them - a old member through up a link a while ago - they had the turbo, exhaust manifold, BOV, intercooler and intake. supposedly added 200bhp with no other mods ;)

hmm.. 200bhp :) will deff have a look about for one the kits, any ideas how much roughly?

dunno how much is a new engine ?think that kit was around £1700. but add another maybe £1k by the time youve got the pistons as well, otherwise you will need another engine. think the rods and crank on the k20 block are forged as standard.
